I am a beginner so please excuse if i am asking too much, but can you please provide any tips on the strumming pattern for this song to actually make it sound the way it is...

Hi Shrikant. Thanks for taking the time to comment. My strumming is always 'intuitive' which sometimes mucks up my timing. I couldn't get my head around DDUU methods when learning guitar (or maybe it was just lack of patience :-)) so I just strum away and sing.
