Love Story - Where do I begin - lyrics and chords

I was strumming away today with chords of Em and C - Capo on the 2nd
put my guitar down to make an espresso
came back, took off the Capo and started playing the theme from Love Story - "Where do I begin" - just like that - out of the blue. I haven't played this song for a good many years.

Interestingly enough, I found out that Love Story  was written by Francis Lai (might have to get out the Bilitus CD again to hear more of his other music), who won an Oscar in 1970 for the song - Best Music - Original Score. Carl Sigman wrote the lyrics.
And I still haven't seen the movie...

Whilst Perry Como sang the original, it's also been sung by some other heavyweights of music from the 70's era - Engelbert Humperdinck, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Bassey, Glenn Campbell and Tony Bennett

After a few rusty attempts at playing it (I even surprised myself that I remembered the chords and lyrics), I thought it would have to be a song that I add to my songbook blog - so I never forget it and can refer back to the page when someone asks me to 'play something'...

Here it is - lyrics as I remembered them and chords that suit my voice:

Love Story - Where do I begin

Em
Where do I begin
                                     B7
To tell the story of how great a love can be
                                              G                 C
The sweet Love Story that is older than the sea
                                        B7
The simple truth about the love she brings to me
                   Em
Where do I start

With her first hello
                                       B7
She gave meaning to this empty world of mine
                                      G                   C
There'll never be another love - another time
                                        B7
She came into my life and made the living fine
                  E
She fills my he__art

Chorus:
                  Am
She fills my heart
                 D7
With very special things
                     G
With Angel's song
               C
And wild imaginings
                  B7                      Em
She fills my life with so much love
                            Am
That everywhere I go
               D7
I'm never lonely
              G                           C
With her along who could be lonely
                       B7
I reach for her hand
                 D7
It's always there

Em
How long does it last

Can love be measured
           B7
By the hours in a day

I have no answers
        G                     C
Bu_t this much I can say

I know I'll need her
             B7
'Till the clouds all pass away
                     E
And she'll be there

Chorus:
                  Am
She fills my heart
                 D7
With very special things
                     G
With Angel's song
               C
And wild imaginings
                  B7                      Em
She fills my life with so much love
                            Am
That everywhere I go
               D7
I'm never lonely
              G                           C
With her along who could be lonely
                       B7
I reach for her hand
                D7   G
It's always there

So, there we have it - ready to be played whenever the mood strikes
Comments - as always - greatly appreciated
